Take a look inside the eclectic interior of Amy (@studiopaath)
Amy lives with her boyfriend, two dogs and cat in the old town of Naarden. With her own style, she has created an eclectic interior where color and softness come together. The lounge sofa Moa by SIDDE totally fits into this unique living room.
The beginning of Studio Paath
Amy is a copywriter and also runs her own business, Studio Paath. This grew out of a passion for interior design and the growing demand for interior design advice from people in her area. In the design process, she focuses on creating a timeless interior that suits the client's personality and lifestyle, rather than just looking at the latest interior trends.
"It's about discovering what really suits you and putting it together into a harmonious whole."
From rental house to dream home
Amy and her boyfriend have now lived in their beautiful 1950s home for five years. Two years ago they got the opportunity to buy their then rented house, and they immediately seized it! After the purchase, a major renovation began: solar panels and a dormer were installed, the walls were plastered, and a beautiful new kitchen was installed. "It felt like moving in, but in our own familiar home," he says.
Lounge sofa Moa
During the extensive search for a light design sofa Amy got the tip to look at the collection of By SIDDE. After a visit to the showroom in Leerdam the choice fell on lounge sofa Moa in the color Soft Silk. It had the advantages they were looking for; a fast delivery time and a fabric that was stain-resistant treated. Model Moa turned out to fit perfectly in the eclectic interior of Amy and her boyfriend.
"My favorite spot, of course, is sprawled out on my lounge sofa."
Living style, inspiration and dreams
An eclectic interior is all about the art of combination. Amy mixes different living styles, prints and colors, with her friend's colorful items blending beautifully with her soft interior accents. Amy gets inspiration from Pinterest, home decorating magazines and trips taken. Still on the wish list is a home office adjacent to the living room. That would be ideal!
Interior design advice from Amy
When creating an eclectic style, or any living style, it is essential to connect different elements. "Repeat colors in your accessories or have them contrast and add an additional accessory as a unifying element to create harmony." This is how you make your interior come together.
"Focus on what makes you happy and add personal interests into your interior. That gives that little bit extra and makes it unique."
"And remember, don't be too perfectionist - your living room is not a showroom, but a personal space!"
