Looking inside @huisjetriomfs ambient newly built home
Anniek lives with her boyfriend Menno, Tygo (9) and Hidde (0). She describes her interior style as Japandi. Calm with earth tones and a touch of colour. A funny fact, which the couple only found out later; the family's initials form the word ‘MATH’ and Menno is a maths teacher.
Moodboards
A year and a half ago, during the construction of their home, Anniek created an Instagram account called @huisjetriomf. It started as a kind of diary of the construction so they could keep track of all the steps in the process. "I found it very difficult to make interior design choices, so I created mood boards so I could see if everything matched". What Anniek enjoys most is sharing the ‘before and after’ photos.

Moving to a new house often involves picking the right sofa. Anniek and Menno looked at all kinds of sofas. They already knew By SIDDE through Instagram. Anniek wanted an organic sofa.
Together they went to the inspiration studio in Eerbeek to try out the sofas. Here they came to the conclusion that Nomi not only looks beautiful but is also very comfortable to sit on. This had to be it!
Soft materials and prints
Anniek's favourite interior item is surely the big teddy armchair in the living room. The nicest place in the house to bottle-feed her son Hidde. She also enjoys adding and changing accessories. The wallpaper by Arte sets the mood in the living room. From the leftover wallpaper, Anniek filled ornamental frames in their bedroom.
Creating cosy corners
‘The stairs are an eyesore. This the last part that needs to be addressed after construction.’ After that, the house is really finished. What Anniek does like is to brighten up more and more rooms in the house with wallpapers. And when Hidde's playpen leaves the living room, she can create a nice corner there again.
Happy moments
‘My moments of happiness are in the little things.’ Anniek enjoys going boxing with her sister-in-law, having drinks in the garden in nice weather and pizza parties with family. But she also enjoys the rays of sunshine falling in her house, for example. Most of all the moments with her baby, as she herself says: ‘with a little one, you are instantly happy.’
‘Seize the day’ is Anniek's motto. She has made several trips abroad, such as Africa and Oceania. ‘When you want to do something, do it now before you regret it or it is no longer possible,’ she says."
